Tolerance Vs Acceptance
Tolerance promotes peace and coexistence, allowing individuals with different beliefs to live harmoniously, as it allows for diverse perspectives without necessarily requiring embracing or agreeing with them.
Acceptance, when treated as an absolute rule, disrupts societal balance by neglecting to set boundaries between conflicting beliefs. Achieving peace and order through acceptance is a fantasy, as it fails to address the need for establishing common ground and understanding among individuals.
I tolerate but do not necessarily accept. We need to emphasize practicing tolerance rather than acceptance; however, there are also limits to what should be tolerated.
Tolerance and Acceptance, definitions matter.
